Summer Sewing Social

Fancy a whole day dedicated to sewing? Whether you've been stitching for years or are new to sewing, everyone is welcome! Join us for a fun & inspiring day of stitching, chatting and creating.
Expect a warm and friendly welcome and an opportunity to connect with others that love to sew. It's a chance to make time for your creativity, share skills and meet new people. You just bring along your current project (garments, quilts, toys, anything goes!) and your sewing machine and enjoy a day of making.
There will be an ironing station and a cutting table as well as access to the kitchen for drinks. I'll provide some biscuits and cakes so please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. It's advisable to bring along a packed lunch too and if the weather is nice we can enjoy it al fresco in the courtyard!
While this isn't a tutor led session, I will be available should you need support with anything!
Important info
In order for us to comply with the hall's t's&c's we are required to PAT test all electrical equipment being used. I have arranged for all sewing machines to be PAT tested on arrival, at no extra charge to you. It only takes a couple of minutes and while you wait you can have a drink and find a work station. In the unlikely event that your sewing machine fails there are 4 sewing machines that are available to borrow. Please do get in touch if you have any questions regarding this heyalimakes@gmail.com
Accessibility
This workshop will be held at Langford Budville Jubilee Hall, a gorgeous light and spacious village hall in the beautiful countryside just outside of Wellington. There is plenty of parking at the hall and no steps, I'm happy to help carrying your machine inside if needed.
Cancellations
Life happens, if you need to cancel please let me know at least 7 days in advance, if you can, and you'll receive a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days before will receive a 50% refund or a 75% refund if I can fill your place. Unfortunately, cancellations within 48 hours can’t be refunded.
If you are unable to make it and would like to transfer your spot to a friend please let me know in advance.
If we ever need to cancel a workshop due to low participant uptake, illness or venue issues, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to join a future class.
Please note that this event needs a minimum of 4 participants to run.
