I’m Ali, a colour, pattern and print lover, a designer, crafter and fabric collector!

 

My first experience sewing was over 40 years ago with my Great Aunt, it sparked a love of fashion, textiles and creating.

 

Through the years I've built a handmade wardrobe I'm proud of, full of clothes that reflect me, in fabrics that I love and most importantly that fit 'my' body.  

 

Dressmaking and sewing open up endless possibilities! It's an opportunity to make items that truly reflect you in your choice of shape, colour, fabric and fit.

 

Designing, making and crafting have always been my way to slow down, it's an immersive experience that brings me calm, balance, and joy.  I'm 'in the moment' and it's a chance for me to quieten the noise of everyday life. 

 

Over the years I’ve trained and supported many creative people in different settings, and nothing makes me happier than inspiring and nurturing others to grow in confidence and creativity.  I'll never tire of watching people discover the magic of sewing!

Anything is possible if you find the right person or resource to get you started, it brings me much pleasure to share my passion for sewing and help others discover what can be made with fabric, imagination and a bit of courage.

 

With a degree in Textile Design and a career that’s spanned printed textile design, interior design, visual merchandising and education, I’ve built a wide range of knowledge and skills that support others to grow in my hands on lessons and workshops.
